The Wales Women in STEM Network
The network was officially launched on 16th September 2019. Participants came together to think about how we might try to increase the number of women and girls engaging in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine. As research by Chwarae Teg demonstrates, achieving full gender equality in Wales would increase the Welsh economy by £13.6 billion by 2028.
We try to work to provide further support, events and networking opportunities to facilitate female participation in STEM at all career stages, from school learners to industry professionals and research leaders.
Join our collaborative network on Facebook. It is an online community for both women and men to connect, co-operate and try to support each other. We try to highlight the gender-related challenges that restrict people trying to achieve professional ambitions in STEM. News about upcoming events and opportunities will also be shared on the group.
